A Small Get-Together: Jenna & Daniel Get Married

While I don’t typically favor more vintage, I love garden-style weddings. This location is gorgeous, even in its ruins, and Jenna and Daniel’s vision worked perfectly with the surrounding environment. The blush tones, birds, nests, it all just jives. Very romantic, very beautiful. I hope you enjoy looking at this as much as I did.

Jenna Kristen Pearcy and Daniel Layton Driggers
Married in Adairsville, Georgia on May 29th, 2010

Jenna Pearcy and Daniel Driggers met in Georgia at a small get-together through mutual friends. In fact, at the time, each of their best friends were dating. Dan’s best friend Will, “definitely saw our potential for a great match,” recalls Jenna. “Meanwhile, sparks were already flying between me and Dan. We were inseparable ever since.” It was that simple and completely romantic. “As cliche as it may sound,” says Jenna, “we both just knew we were right for one another.” Shortly After Dan proposed in Vail, Colorado, the couple moved to nearby Fort Collins.

“Our wedding style was mostly inspired by the venue: The Ruins at Barnsley Gardens Resort,” says Jenna. “We wanted a vintage feel, and chose to play up the elegant, yet rustic feel of The Ruins.” Their wedding colors were inspired by the old brick of the venue and the centerpieces included flowering branches to echo the overgrown vines and branches covering The Ruins. Antique frames and mirrors with bird’s nests and flowers were placed throughout the venue to seem as though they were left behind by the original inhabitants. A subtle bird theme was carried throughout with feathers and nests. “To us,” says Jenna, “the birds represented more than just lovebirds. We truly feel like ‘two birds of a feather’ and couldn’t wait to make our home, our nest, together.”
