One of my favorite locations in Ireland is Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort. An 18th-century manor, it is located in Limerick and boasts 840 acres of gardens, parkland and the River Maigue. From the grand facade to the vast interiors, it is elegant and full of history making it the perfect location to start your journey together as husband and wife. When Jennifer and John’s wedding came into my office as a submission, I was floored that they chose Adare Manor and I fell in love with her chic gown, the simple, but stately decor choices and the beautiful photography. I hope you enjoy this wedding as much as I did.

Married in Limerick, Ireland on April 24, 2010
“We met in Denver and have been together ever since,” says Jennifer Estrada about John Dorsey. After going to Chicago for St. Patrick’s Day, “I took her out to show her and then the house I grew up in. In the back yard I dropped to my knees and asked with a ring in hand ‘would you marry me?’” recalls John. “This is the home where I was raised with all my brothers and I felt that this would be a wonderful place to start our married life together!”
With help of planner Michelle Mc Dermott, “we found our dream venue: Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort located in Ireland’s prettiest village in the heart of the West of Ireland,” says John. They exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony in the gardens with the 18th-century manor as the backdrop.
“We were led into dinner by a bagpiper and we entertained our guests with an Irish Jig!” remembers John. “Dinner was a gourmet affair sitting at the magnificent table with beautiful floral arrangements, crystal, silver and candlelight.” The band kept the dance floor full and a spectacular fireworks display ended the night. “T’was a fairytale wedding and our lives together are grander now, than ever, thanks to my lovely wife Jenn,” smiles John.
