J’adore Paris! Lately, I have been seeing so many engagement shoots in Paris, but somehow they all seem to capture something different about this amazing city: the Louvre, river Seine, the Eiffel Tower and so many other remarkable locations. When I received this shoot from Olivier Lalin of WeddingLight, based in Paris, France, I loved seeing the padlocks on the bridge. I thought they added a unique textural element to these images and when I found out the story behind them, I am in love with this idea even more.
I hope you like Dean and Rachel’s e-session images taken at the place where their love story began: Pont des Arts. Enjoy!

Paris Engagement Shoot
Paris … one of the most romantic cities in the world. Dean proposed to his girlfriend Rachel, of three years, overlooking the river Seine. They met at the Pont des Arts, which is said to be the most romantic pedestrian bridge that crosses the Seine River. With its wooden walkway it connects the Institute de France to the Louvre. Lovers stick cadenas d’amour (love padlocks) to the railings of the bridge to symbolically seal their eternal love. The growing trend continues with the throwing of the key over the bridge into the river Seine.
Thank you so much Dean and Rachel for letting us share this with our readers and a huge thank you to Olivier Lalin of WeddingLight for letting us share your incredible images!
