I received this photo shoot and I fell in LOVE with the simplicity and beauty of these images, not to mention how gorgeous and dreamy these two are together. The inspiration for this was the classic and romantic essence of Miami, Florida. Happy Friday! Enjoy!
I love fashion stories that exude a true couture ambiance and that push the envelope against what’s considered “traditional.” When this shoot photographed by Swedish photographer Irika entitled “Wedding Crashers” came across my desk, I immediately fell in love with the mood it evoked. The fashion is so inspiring and cutting edge that I just had to share it with you all. Be sure you also visit the grace ormonde Wedding Style website where we have this shoot featured as well. Cheers and hope you enjoy!

Inspiration can come from anywhere. For this engagement shoot by owners Hunter and Brittney of Three Nails Photography out of Shreveport, Louisiana, it came from a poem. “When I read [the poem], I pictured this shoot in my head. I found the boat and had to get a few friends to help me drag it with a rope about a mile into this sandy area,” says Brittney. The rest, as they say, is magic.
A Boat Beneath a Sunny Sky
“A boat beneath a sunny sky,
Lingering onward dreamily
In an evening of July –
Children three that nestle near,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Pleased a simple tale to hear –
Long has paled that sunny sky:
Echoes fade and memories die:
Autumn frosts have slain July.
Still she haunts me, phantomwise,
Alice moving under skies
Never seen by waking eyes.
Children yet, the tale to hear,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Lovingly shall nestle near.
In a Wonderland they lie,
Dreaming as the days go by,
Dreaming as the summers die:
Ever drifting down the stream –
Lingering in the golden dream –
Life, what is it but a dream?”

I recently received this photo shoot inspired by the beauty and culture of Africa and fell in love with it instantly. Photographed by Lauri Levenfeld of Zoom Photography in San Francisco, it tells the story of childhood sweethearts who fall in love and who years later become man and wife. This shoot is filled with vibrant colors and moving imagery. The couple is gorgeous (as both children and adults!) and you can really feel the love between them. Enjoy these stunning images and thank you for sharing with us!
Last week, I had the honor to share with you a video by Andrew Hsu of Studio MSV titled “California Mission Shoot.” Today, I want to share with you a few photographs from that shoot by the ever so talented Gustavo Fernandez. Hope you enjoy and thanks so much for sharing with us!
California Mission Shoot
July 21st, 2011
I recently received this enchanting video from Andrew Hsu of Studio MSV and photographed by the talented Gustavo Fernandez and had to share it because of its romantic charm and unique ambiance. Named the “California Mission Shoot,” — inspired by the mission replica building of the Cline Cellars property where the shoot takes place in Sonoma, CA — tells the story of a gorgeous, young couple who made the mission their home and wanted to design a wedding around the lush areas that Sonoma has to offer. Olive branches, a cross and some antique, vintage details come to life to relive the “old world” feeling of California mission days. Thank you Andrew for sharing this with us and job well done to all the amazing talent who joined forces to paint such a vivid picture of past mission days.

When I saw this submission we didn’t have room in the magazine, but I immediately fell in love with the black and white photography (I think everyone knows how I feel about B&W photos … love them!) and knew I had to share it with you. Not to mention, Switzerland is an incredible location. Add designer fashion, a gorgeous couple (who also happen to be newlyweds), to-die-for photography and a love that is so obvious like theirs and it was the making for an amazing photo shoot.
According to the photographer: The idea of the shoot was born about 1.5 years ago. I loved the idea of a fashion-inspired shoot in a vintage luxury hotel. The Beau Rivage was the perfect location because it still has this kind of “old Hollywood glam” feeling. It took long from the idea to realize the shoot because I couldn’t find the right dress. When I saw the Dolce & Gabbana dress in “VOGUE” I fell in love with it and it quickly became the inspiration for the right styling, fantastic shoes, illustration, etc. The couple is actually a real couple. Danielle and Patric got married just a couple of days before the shoot. Danielle is Brazilian and Patric is Swiss. Danielle even moved to Switzerland just for Patric. They are both amazing. We loved shooting them and the atmosphere was beyond fantastic!
Thank you so much Danielle and Patric for letting us share this with our readers and a huge thank you to Andrea & Marcus for letting us share your incredible images!

A few week’s back, I received this enticing submission from Anthony Vazquez Photography. I review so many bridal inspired submissions that it was refreshing to see a shoot targeted towards men. I love Anthony’s fresh style and modern approach to his photography. The look and feel of these photographs are exquisite and not to mention so is the model! Hope you enjoy these images as much as I do and Happy Friday! xoxo
I received this submission from Anais Events out of San Francisco, CA photographed by AK Sandhu Photography and immediately fell in love with it’s vibrant imagery, Indian opulence and charming story line. When I was a young girl, I would spend hours on end daydreaming about falling in love and being proposed to by my Prince Charming. Like most little girls, I would envision my wedding day and what my dress would like, what jewelry I would wear, how I would do my hair and makeup, what kind of flowers and cake I would have, etc. I would fantasize about each and every detail. This shoot called “Day Dreams” tells the story of a young woman day-dreaming and writing love notes to the man of her dreams while playing dress up with her best friend. It really made me go back to my childhood days and took me for a nice ride down Memory Lane. Thank you for sharing this lovely styled shoot and enjoy! xoxo
