BEAUTY | Christian Louboutin Introduces Bridal Manicures
Want a little bit of Christian Louboutin on your wedding day that isn’t in the form of a shoe? Well here’s your chance! Christian Louboutin shares with us three new bridal manicures that offers brides an innovative take on nail art.
MANICURE 1 | Something Blue: Mr. Louboutin was inspired by the notion of the saying “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” This light blue manicure with a diamond-shaped, nude-coloured appliqué is his clean and graphic take for the modern bride.
Using a masking tape, place the squares on the sticky side and paint two coats using “Me Nude” and let dry for 20 minutes. While drying, apply one coat of Loubi Primer. Next apply two coats of “Batignolles” and then one coat of Loubi Gloss. Once dry, use a tiny dot of glue to place the square in place.
MANICURE 2 | Bollywood Bride: Mr. Louboutin wanted to pay homage to his love of India by creating this manicure. This nail design is inspired by traditional henna, but he decorated the hands with a graphic and modern take on traditional henna.
For the detail on fingers, using your desired red liquid eyeliner create lines on the fingers. Using eyelash glue, place the studs on your fingers. For your nails, apply one coat of Loubi Primer. Then apply two coats of “Sweet Charity.” With a detailing brush mimic the pattern using “Rouge Louboutin.” To finish, apply one coat of Loubi Gloss.
MANICURE 3 | Yes to Him: Mr. Louboutin wanted something very feminine and pink, with a touch of whimsy.
On your left hand, apply one coat of Loubi Primer. On the pinky, ring finger and thumb paint two coats of “Bengali.” On the pointer finger, take “Bengali” and using a thin brush paint the outer outline of the ‘C’ shape and then fill in. Leave 2mms of blank space and then paint the inner outline of the ‘C’ shape using “Pluminette” and fill in. On the middle finger, take “Bengali” and using a thin brush paint the outer left outline of the ‘L’ and fill in. Leave 2mms of blank space and then paint the inner right outline with “Pluminette” and then fill in. On your right, paint two coats of “Bengali” and then add one coat of Loubi Primer before and one coat of Loubi Gloss after to finish.
